Star Refutes Anti-Vaccine Stance After Narrating Contentious Coronavirus Documentary
Liam Neeson has provided his narration to a new documentary that casts doubt on the safety of vaccines and lauds ex- cabinet secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.
The Feature's Contentious Origins
Titled "Plague of Corruption," the project is based on a popular book written by Judy Mikovits, who rose to infamy during the global outbreak for allegations that the virus was linked to a faulty batch of the influenza shot.
Her writing partner, a producer, has also written books with controversial radio host Alex Jones. He took to social media hailing Neeson's involvement in the documentary.
A Strong Statement
A spokesperson for Liam Neeson have provided a response pushing back against implications that he holds anti-immunization sentiments.
"We all understand that corruption can exist within the medical sector, but that cannot be confused with opposition to vaccines," the response reads. "He has never been, and remains not, anti-vaccination. His extensive work with the UN children's agency reinforces his enduring support for global immunisation initiatives."
It continued that the actor had no hand in the film's narrative and that inquiries about its assertions are best addressed to the creators.
Key Claims Featured in the Documentary
According to the documentary, the script read by Neeson makes several strong claims:
- It suggests that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "unconditional submission" to public institutions.
- It declares that "medical science has become deeply politicised."
- RFK Jr is shown stating, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they just aren't safely tested."
- It further attacks Covid lockdowns, claiming they caused mental anguish that resulted in thousands of lives.
- Regarding pandemic shots, it mentions a report that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "hazardous tests."
Historical Context and Recent Debates
It further cites a 2004 BBC documentary about HIV drug testing on children, which was later the topic of a formal apology by the corporation for unbalanced reporting.
Recently, RFK Jr instructed the Centers for Disease Control to revise its longstanding position that there is no link between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is echoed in the film, despite a new report from the global health body reiterating no connection has been found.
An Earlier Record of Support
Differing from the documentary's message, Neeson has previously voiced firm endorsement for vaccines in his position as a Unicef global ambassador.
Previously, he described vaccines as "an extraordinary human success story," noting that "The conversation about vaccines in the past few years has forgotten how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in history."
"Plague of Corruption" concludes with Neeson's narration proclaiming, "This marks not the end of our story. It is the start of a different phase."
