Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
